This course will take you – the musician – through the historic and very exciting world of recording music, otherwise known as the record business.

We are going to discuss the record business landscape. By that I mean everything you, as the musician, HAVE to know about having your music recorded. We will look at major recording labels and the independents.

We will also let you know about various recording contracts and options for distributing your recorded music independently.

Finally, we will take a look at the current state of the record business, the big sellers and the record chart-toppers.
